FAQs

Q: What happened to Cambrian Digital?
A: printminepro.co.uk is the new name for Cambrian Digital - we are still very much part of Cambrian Printers, however!

Q: Why should I have lamination and which type should I have?
A: The answer depends on several factors, including personal choice on how you want your final product to look. We would recommend all perfect bound books to be laminated to protect the covers and make the whole book last longer, and we would encourage lamination on larger saddle stitched books as well for the same reason, and to prevent `cracking' around the spine. Matt lamination gives a lovely effect, but is more prone to marking, especially in dark backgrounds.

Q: What's the difference between crease and fold?
A: If you select just crease, we will supply your product to you as flat sheets, ready for folding. If you select just fold, we will fold your product without creasing, which can be a problem for heavy stocks, in which case you should select crease and fold.

Q: If I have a booklet that has a cover and then 16 pages of text, how do I quote that?
A: Click on the Books tab, then select your total pages as 20pp, enter your text stock, then chose "My cover will be different to the above", and options appear allowing you to select your cover stock separately.

Images should be 300 to 600 dpi, and preferably CMYK.

Please don't send us each page as a single PDF file, how you should set things up depends on how the finished product is bound.
